Default Intel Video Card?

Hey guys.
Me and a few friends have been considering giving GW a try when it launches.
However, one of my friends has a laptop and while most the specs are up to par, I was wondering if the video card will suffice.
It's an Integrated Intel Extreme 2 Graphics 32mb.
The minimum requirement for the game is 32mb, so shouldn't it work?
Thanks.

Default Processor?

What kind of processor is it running?
I ran into a problem with the Intel integrated graphics because of the latest drivers I had installed. They caused most of the games I play to have serious video issues.
I uninstalled them and was able to play again.
It was choppy, I would run and find myself facing a different direction.
Worth a shot though.

There are a lot of known crashing issues with the Intel in GW, I'd recommend them testing it before buying it.

It's integrated though...so I'm guessing you can't upgrade the card? Not even put a new one in as well and disable the integrated somehow?

i am using 2 machines with an integrated intel graphics chip that has been disabled for an upgraded pci vid card. you can usually set your vid card as the primary video in the BIOS and disable the integrated vid chip in windows device manager.

Unless its a brand new laptop (and then your friend would really have no problem) you probably can't upgrade the board. All I can suggest is that you try running the game and see what happens. If you have a pre-order key, you could try during the pre-release event on the 27(?). Otherwise, if you're going to buy a retail copy anyways, you could try running it (under your own account) on your buddy's laptop and see if it works. If it does you can him/her out to buy his/her own copy. If it doesn't, you still have your own copy to play, and your friend isn't out $50.

Cool, thanks guys. It is indeed a brand new laptop. Would it most likely require pci or would agp(?) work as well?

Even new laptops don't always offer full expandability -- my laptop is brand new, but since it's a mobile-performance model, space is an issue and there's no slot for a new video card. The integrated card I have is decent at 64 MB, but still -- we'll see how it stands up. I'm hoping the fact that it's a 2.8 GHZ P4 with a gig of RAM will compensate.

(Heck, getting it up to 2 gigs of RAM would be $400 cheaper than getting a new mobo and video card!)
